Whether you are visiting The Warehouse for one night or a long weekend, why not stay local!
Watatunga Wildlife Reserve
Every day at Watatunga is different and there is no better way to experience the variety of the reserve than by booking a newly renovated holiday cottage. Guests staying in the Stable Cottage or Major’s Lodge are welcomed on a complimentary guided tour of the reserve the morning after their arrival to learn about the animals and their conservation stories. Unsupervised use of the electric buggies is exclusive to guests booked into the holiday accommodation to ensure that your experience of the park is unique and undisturbed, experiencing the magic of Watatunga’s wildlife at your leisure.
“We were lucky enough to stay in Major’s Lodge (fully accessible) right on the edge of the conservation area. The accommodation itself is great – comfy for 6 with 3 large double bedrooms, with an additional smaller bedroom which would suit one adult or 2 children.
We had a really interesting private tour on our first morning and then enjoyed exploring on our own afterwards in the golf buggy that you’re given access to for the duration of your stay. We saw many of the reserve’s residents and the scenery itself is beautiful.
We would really recommend staying in one of the two (quite luxurious) self-catering properties, to get the most out of visiting Watatunga. We had the delight of seeing some of the special deer and antelopes from the conservatory of Major’s Lodge. – Tripadvisor
