Lovely location and no expense has been spared on the entire project. Staff are friendly and helpful. A really comfortable and enjoyable place to spend an afternoon or evening. This is its first summer and it has stacks of potential and we are looking forward to seeing it grow and being able to enjoy more evenings there.
Great food and good value for money
We came to look at the antiques centre and stayed on for lunch. A small menu, but something for everyone. We had burgers, fish and chips and the largest ploughmans we've ever seen. It had ham, cheese, pork pie and scotch egg - my Dad couldn't finish it all! There's a nice range of beers too from the beer shop on site. Good prices, friendly staff and lovely clean premises. Will definitely come again.
Come fairly regularly to the beer warehouse next door and this is an addition to the building which has only opened fairly recently. First disappointment was in spite of all the many beer pumps there didnt appear to be any draught beers available. I ordered the large fish and chips. The fish wasnt particularly large and the chips were the type that quickly go hard. Think I made the wrong choice as those who had the Salmon said it was good. Service was a little on the slow side as they were reasonably busy. Outdoor seating is available for summer days. Will try again and see if I make a better choice and hopefully get a draught beer.
Great atmosphere. Amazing food.
Came here for breakfast and was not disappointed. The food was excellent and I was very impressed with the individually wrapped clean cutlery. It made a very nice touch to the visit to know that staff are ensuring a high level of care to all customers. I cannot wait to have lunch there!
Visited here this morning with my husband for breakfast and was amazed!
The warehouse/ taproom looked very spacious and clean however we chose to sit outside in the large garden as the weather was warm and we wanted to take advantage of the sun.
Our waitress Wendy was very kind and attentive, ensuring we was seated with a parasol and making sure we had all we needed.
Our cutlery was brought out in sealed packs and the disposable napkins were of brilliant quality (never commented or noticed napkins before so definitely something special!)
We ordered two vegan breakfasts at £9.50 each. Wendy asked if we would like condiments, my husband asked for mustard which was brought out in a single use jar, which was brilliant.
The chef( Bruce )cooked our breakfasts which we could only describe as a "taste explosion". It was the best breakfast either of us has ever had. The seasoning in the beans was amazing, the bubble snd squeak had freshly ground.chives on, the tomatoes we've on the vine and cooked to perfection... everything was perfect.
On top of this after your meal you can puruse the beer warehouse, and visit the antiques shop which us full of hidden gems.
We are now planning our next visit for my sons birthday in wcweeks time.
Visited a few weeks ago with my family for breakfast. We all had pancakes and they were superb as was the coffee. Friendly staff who checked we had everything we needed. We'll be back - I NEED to try the burger!!
The aim of this project was to create a unique taproom bar and restaurant to showcase our huge range of products and also provide refreshments for customers visiting our beer shop, Steiff shop and Antiques Center
